Indonesia Kirim 6 Team ke 1st World Mind Sport Game di Beijing

Indonesia akan mengirimkan 6 (enam) tim untuk mengikuti 1st World Mind Sport Games di Beijing, China pada tanggal 3-18 Oktober 2008.
Pada 1st World Mind Sport Games akan dipertandingkan 5 jenis kejuaraan, yaitu:

1. World Mind Sport Games dimana kategori peserta adalah "under 28".
2. Nations Cup dulu dikenal dengan nama Olympiade Bridge (Open & Ladies Team)
3. Senior International Cup dimana kategori peserta 58 tahun keatas.
4. World Youth Championship under 26
5. World School Championship under 21

A brand new event: The World Mind Sports Games
The first World Mind Sports Games (www.2008wmsg.org) will be
organized in Beijing by the International Mind Sports Association
(IMSA), from October 3rd to 18th.
Go, Bridge, Chess, Draughts and Chinese Chess will be the five disciplines represented.
For more than two weeks, 3000 players featuring the best in the world in each discipline
(e.g. Karpov in chess) will compete, in both the National and International Convention
Centres of Beijing, notably used as part of the Olympic site during the August Games.
The World Mind Sport Games will benefit from a strong media coverage, not only in
China and Asia thanks to the presence on site of CCTV, Beijing TV, and Phoenix TV, but
also all over the world via the images being broadcast through international channels.
Taught and practiced everywhere in the World by one billion people, the Mind Sports are
very much recommended for their educative and health benefits. It is widely recognised
that they have a positive influence on behaviour, mental well-being, reasoning skills and
memory.
